Founders’ Alpha rules
Play fair. Help us build something worth staying for.
Alpha testing works only when players protect the integrity of the test, respect one another, and report problems instead of abusing them.
1. No cheating or unfair automation
Do not use hacked clients, unauthorized combat or movement assistance, duplication tools, macros that create unfair gameplay advantages, or other methods intended to bypass normal play.
2. Report exploits—do not abuse them
Found a duplication bug, progression bypass, economy exploit, unsafe command, or repeatable server bug? Stop using it and report it through Discord. Repeatedly exploiting a known bug may lead to removal from the Alpha.
3. Respect other players
Harassment, threats, targeted abuse, hate speech, sexual harassment, doxxing, or deliberate disruption of another player’s testing experience is not acceptable.
4. Do not maliciously grief or sabotage testing
Normal risk and combat are part of TetherBreak where the game allows them. Deliberately damaging shared testing areas, obstructing progression, abusing bugs to destroy property, or repeatedly interfering with testing is not.
5. Keep names, chat, builds, and shared content appropriate
Do not use impersonation, explicit sexual content, hateful imagery, malicious links, scams, or content intended to evade moderation.
6. Follow reasonable staff directions
Founders’ Alpha sometimes requires emergency restarts, temporary feature restrictions, item removal, rollback, or test instructions. Staff may act to protect the server and the integrity of testing.
7. Expect Alpha changes and resets
Characters, items, balance, quests, terrain, progression, and other systems may change. Bugs and occasional resets are part of active development; Alpha progress is not guaranteed to be permanent.
8. Report problems in good faith
Include enough detail to reproduce the issue when possible. Screenshots, clips, coordinates that are safe to share with staff, and clear steps can help development enormously.
